What you can do with your seamless patterns

You make a tile that repeats without a seam, with five colours that still work in greyscale. You convert millimetres to pixels, so your pattern has the right scale on a card or a tumbler. And you know what you’re actually selling: a product, a file or the right to use your design. That difference costs people money.

How the lessons work

First you draw your motifs and choose your colours. Then, in module 3, you have a repeating tile in one evening. Theory only comes when you need it. You get worksheets, three practice projects and a questions page for when you get stuck.

What you need

An iPad with Procreate. An Apple Pencil helps, but it isn’t required. The brushes that come with Procreate are enough. If you want to sublimate or print your own cards, you’ll need a printer too. That only comes up in module 5.
